Here at Windfall, before breeding, all crosses are thoroughly considered in order to benefit the breed and integrity of the Australian Shepherd. Temperament above all is our primary goal. All sires and dams are OFA (cleared of hip dysplasia) and CERF (cleared of eye defects). All puppies are dual registered with ASCA (the Australian Shepherd CLub of America, our parent club in Bryan Texas) and AKC (the American Kennel Club located in Raleigh, NC). Due to our busy schedule of family events, showing dogs and judging dog shows, we only produce approximately 2-3 litters per year. We enjoy the time we spend with our pups, observing and socializing them through the first 8 weeks, at which time they are evaluated. All puppies are wormed and have had their first puppy shot. Eyes are checked by a board certified opthamologist before 8 weeks of age. All pet puppies are sold on a spay and neuter contract only. Potential puppy buyers are selected and screened thoroughly and require a non-refundable deposit. We do not sell our puppies based on color or sex, although we know everyone has a preference, but by temperaments that closely match your family style and activities. When puppies are 8 weeks of age, they are evaluated for sound structure and temperament, and their eyes are checked for any genetic defects. An eye certificate will be issued with each puppy. By 8 weeks of age, all puppies have been well socialized and have had their first puppy shot and have been wormed on a regular basis.
As we mentioned above, Windfall only produces approximately 2-3 litters per year, so reserving your puppy is a must. If you are interested, please e-mail us for more information. Because we breed only a few litters each year, it's not possible for us to guarantee that everyone who requests a puppy will receive one. However, in the interest of getting you the quality puppy that you're interested in, we at Windfall will go out of our way to contact alternate kennels on your behalf. Having been in the Aussie business for over 18 years, we have fostered many friendships with other wonderful kennels who's standards for quality and professionalism are comparable to our own.
